Located on the geological formation known as the Onondaga Escarpment lie the Newstead and Clarence, New York townships. Here, Complete Landscape Service, Inc. specializes in the use of indigenous limestone to construct mortarless stacked walls. In the construction of walls, patios, fire pits, and walkways, other naturally occurring stone materials such as flagstone, sandstone, and glacial tills are used.
The keywords are "naturally occurring." Site development and final landscape design are integral to providing the appropriate context to each project undertaken.
Incorporated in 1990, Complete Landscape Service, Inc. is the expression of one of its founders, Neil M Crocker. Perhaps the many years devoted to bicycle touring and tens of thousands of miles over, through, and around the bony skeleton underlying North America's landscape provide the desire to tell a tale, one of man's relationship to his environment. Part of this is the restoration of stone walls, stories told by others who came before, settled, and in whose fields we toil today.
He hopes that these expressions help provide a connection to the planet and our past, not only for the individual but also for the larger community.
